OVERVIEW

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT), Bangalore, is an autonomous engineering institute established in 1980 by the late Shri M. H. Jayaprakash Narayan. The institute operates under the governance of the Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust and is one of the 15 institutions in India that receive funding from the World Bank under the TEQIP initiative. Dr. AIT is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The institute has established Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various industries to provide students with hands-on industrial exposure. It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and all its degree programs are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Additionally, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology has received approval from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
