OVERVIEW
BHMS is a 5.5-year undergraduate degree in the field of homeopathic medicine. The course duration includes 4.5 years of academic studies and 1 year of mandatory internship. It focuses on treating diseases using homeopathic remedies based on the "like cures like" principle. It focuses on natural healing, holistic treatment, and patient-centred care.
Admission to BHMS is based on the NEET-UG entrance exam, and the course is regulated by the National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) under the AYUSH Ministry, Government of India.
Graduates can work as homeopathic doctors, medical officers, researchers, lecturers, or consultants in hospitals, clinics, and wellness centres after successfully completion of the course. They can also pursue higher studies ,like- MD in Homeopathy or enter the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
