State Quota: 85% seats of Govt Medical Colleges and 33% seats of Private Medical Colleges of West Bengal. Either the NEET Qualified candidate or his/her parent/s must be domiciled resident of West Bengal. Following are the types of Domicile Proformas accepted
Note: In case of proforma b or e-district domicile, it is required to produce any two of the original ID proof (Voter ID, Aadhar Card and Passport)
Management Quota: The candidates qualified through NEET UG are eligible for management quota seats. The candidates who are not domicile in the state of West Bengal (and not opting for NRI Quota) are also eligible for management quota seats. There is no reservation in Management quota seats based on caste or PwD status. Category qualified candidates of other states are also eligible to participate in the WBMCC counselling process provided they have filled their correct category in the NEET application form.
NRI Quota: 15% seats of Private Medical Colleges. The candidates qualified through NEET UG and fulfil the criteria of eligibility of NRI Quota seats as per the directions/orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case WP (Civil) 689 of 2017 (Consortium of the Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) and Anr vs The Union of India and Ors dated 22.08.2017 and Principles set in Anshul Tomar (supra) case in West Bengal and other relevant orders are only be considered in NRI Quota seats. The candidates who opt for NRI Quota cannot opt for State Quota/Management Quota.

Reservation Policy
